Partenit is a delightful corner of scenic beauty, which is located at the foot of the mountain Ayu-Dag (the second name is Bear Mountain). The approximate age of the mountain is about 161 million years. The mountain really resembles a bear lying. The mountain rises to 572 meters above sea level. Ayu-Dag was declared a national sanctuary.

Partenit makes the boundary of Big Yalta and Big Alushta. It is more western part of Big Alushta - the famous recreational region. Despite its popularity among tourists, the resort is one of the youngest (30 years only). Partenite is considered one of the most prestigious on the southern coast of the Crimea because of the geographical location: the village is only open from the sea and is closed on three sides by mountains. This means that even in the case of a rainy summer on the peninsula the sun is shining brightly and the sky is clear. On the territory of Partenit there are two large resorts: Regional Center of Spa Treatment and Rehabilitation “Crimea” and “Aivazovsky”.
