Lviv gained the third position in Top-6 European cycling cities 2014

Internet blog “Friday Flat Travel blog” published Top-6 European cycling cities for 2014. The authors of rating gave two first positions to Budapest (Hungary) and Gdańsk (Poland). Ukrainian Lviv gained the third position followed by Ljubljana (Slovenia), Bucharest (Romania) and Tartu (Estonia).

It is admitted that Lviv with over 700,000 inhabitants has an active government in the promotion of a bicycle culture. Working with local non-governmental organizations, bicycle dealers and cycle-friendly partners, the city is pursuing a sustainable mobility agenda and cooperating with other cycling cities worldwide.At the end of 2013 there were built more than 30 miles of bicycle paths. Work on the creation of favorable conditions for small traffic participants will continue this year.
