Popov Castle is an outstanding historical and architectural monument of the second half of XIX century. It is located in the city of Zaporozhye region Vasilevka and is one of the largest palace and park complexes in the south of the Russian Empire. The castle was named after the owner of the castle - Major General Vasily Stepanovich Popov. The history of the castle and the city itself is closely related to the Popov, as V.S. Popov founded the settlement at the end of XVIII century.

The castle was built in the Gothic Revival style with elements of romance and baroque and consists of 4 floors and five towers. Construction of the complex lasted for about 5 years. Nowadays it is the only manor castle complex in the Zaporozhye region, which has come down to our time. On the basis of the estate complex museum-reserve "Manor Popov" is open.
