Folk Crafts Tour to Ukraine

The trip takes you through places where people still live the way their ancestors used to, where food come from the field outside of the house and horse carriage is at times more convenient transport. The gourmet note of the trip allows being treated by delicious Guzul dishes with home-made wine tasting served at the traditional kolybas, meeting the locals, exploring their lifestyle, being involved into the master classes on real Guzul dancing, drymba playing, painting of Easter eggs.

Day 1 Lviv. Arrival

On arriving at Lviv airport you are greeted by your tour guide. Transfer to the hotel.


Day 2 Ivano-Frankivsk

Following breakfast, enjoy get-to-know excursion along Lviv. Lunch on the way to Ivano-Frankivsk, where you are involved in the city tour. This charming city, with its parks, lush gardens, European-styled houses, and historical monuments. Dinner and overnight in Ivano-Frankivsk.


Day 3 Tatariv

After breakfast, board the coach for transfer to Yaremche to enjoy the fresh mountain air, rich aromas of mountain herbs and trees. After the lunch, you transfer to Vorokhta, where you ascent with cableway the mountain peak to admire the panoramic view of the Carpathians. Have dinner served at the traditional Ukrainian kolyba. On having dinner you are invited to join dancing around the fire to the accompaniment of the authentic melodies. Transfer to Tatariv for overnight.


Day 4 Verhovyna

Take advantage of walking tour to the mountain valley. Following lunch on the way, visit the Carpathian wizard, who shares his knowledge of herbs and treat you with herbs liqueurs and tea. Become a witness of birth of organic Carpathian cheese. The day is going to end with campfire party with real Guzul musicians and dancers.


Day 5 Kosmach

Enjoy breakfast. You visit Kosiv market to buy souvenirs from Guzul handicraftsmen. You are invited to participate in the master class on weaving. After the lunch, transfer to Kosmach to accommodate in the local homestead. Meeting with master of wood carving who introduces different ways of carvings. The dinner is held with Guzul bawdy songs performed by Mr. Nicholas, famous Carpathian musician.


Day 6 Kosmach

In the morning, you are invited to try your strength in the master class on painting of Easter eggs. Lunch in the estate of green tourism, tasting borsch, salo with garlic, cheese, tea with the Carpathian herbs. Following lunch you are involved into making cheese horses master class. You have opportunity to make sure that horse carriage is at times more convenient transport while riding on horse with carts. In the evening you meet with master of Guzul music instruments. Dinner.


Day 7 Ivano-Frankivsk

Following breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to Kolomya. Visit National museum of Guzul and Pokuttia Folk Art. It is one of the oldest and famous museums in Ukraine, with over 22, 000 exhibits that cover the period starting from Trypillia culture to nowadays. Dinner and overnight in Ivano-Frankivsk.


Day 8 Lviv

Return to Lviv, where you have a tour to famous Lviv brewery with beer tasting. The evening is dedicated to gourmet tour "From walk to drink". You get to know Lviv through tasting traditional dishes and beverages in extremely unusual restaurant.
