The capital of Ukraine is among three cities visited by generous Russian tourists in the first half of 2013. Kiev, Helsinki and Prague were the most popular among Russian tourists who travel on their own. The top ten also includes the popular cities of Tallinn, Barcelona, Riga, Milan, Paris, Rome and London. The top ten of foreign countries that are interesting to Russian tourists is Ukraine, Czech Republic, Latvia and the United Kingdom, France, Spain, Italy, Finland, Germany, Estonia.
The rankings are based on Oktogo.ru basing on online hotel reservations in the first half of 2013. "The Schengen countries are the most attractive for short trips because of their proximity and inexpensive fare"- said the head of support services Oktogo.ru Olga Favarizova.
