New Year 2014
The main event of the New Year 2014 in Kyiv is the traditional New Year’s Eve on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti with concerts and public festivals. Celebrating the New Year 2014 on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv will begin approximately at 8:00 pm on December 31 and ends long after midnight on January 1.
The guests as always expect a colorful folklore program and New Year’s concert performances by popular artists. The Christmas tree will switch on its lights on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti Before the eve of the New Year, on the Day of St. Nicholas. The festive illumination will be also switched on along the main streets of Kyiv before New Year. On the night of December 31 to January 1, 2014 the work of the Kiev subway and public transport will be extended.
