Yeni-Kale Fortress
A fortress Yeni-Kale in Kerch was built three centuries ago and attracts romantics of our time. It was built according to bastion system by Italian architect Goloppo with the help of French engineers. Yeni-Kale was built on a rock with rough terrain. As a result, it took the form of a complex triangle of three tiers. Broken lines of the fortress reach 7-15 meters in height. Entrance to the castle passed through the gate with three powerful towers. At the corners of Eni-Kale there were bastions with battle dome towers in the form of overhanging bay windows. Southwest Bastion is one of the main symbols of Kerch.
Today the castle is preserved in excellent condition. This great attraction of Kerch will give you a lot of emotions and will open up a whole world of an ancient fortress.
