Business tourism in Ukraine. The promising directions in 2013

 For a long time business travelling to any country combined culture, sightseeing and business events.  Now we see a relatively new and promising tourism direction – business tourism or MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions). Business trip now much differs. It should be planned beforehand and it must contain a lot of meetings and events.

Business tourism is one of the fast-growing trends in 2013 in the whole world. Today the market is estimated at $0.5 trillion, but analysts from World Tourism Organization forecast soon increase up to $2 trillion.

In Eastern Europe Ukraine remains a leader in business tourism. Among Ukrainian cities that intend to develop business tourism are:

Kyiv

Kyiv already has a well-developed infrastructure for business tourism. A few large exhibition centers operates in Kyiv such as the International Exhibition Centre and Kyiv Expo Plaza. A new International Congress center will appear near the International Exhibition center in 2013. The Euro-2012 gave the Ukrainian capital more than 10 hotels of European level. Each of them offers their conferences and congress services.

Business travel market in Ukraine will become a matter of discussions on March 28, 2013 during the conference «MICE Ukraine».

Kharkiv

Euro-2012 gave Kharkiv more than 20 hotels of the highest quality. The city has an international airport connecting Kharkiv with big cities of the world. Kharkiv has a good chance in the Eastern Ukraine to become a leading center for all business events.

Lviv

Lviv is a cultural center of Ukraine. In 2012, about 1.5 million tourists visited this city. European experts gave their opinions how to make Lviv attractive not only in cultural tourism but in business. The priority tasks for Lviv are construction of large congress center and increasing of flights between world cities.
