Palace of Princess Gagarina

Not far from the Rayevskys’ house known as “Karasan” estate is a picturesque palace of Princess Gagarin. It was built in the early twentieth century in memory of the deceased husband of the Princess. It is designed in Art Nouveau style of the early twentieth century. Gothic towers with battlements and embrasures give the castle a medieval knight's majesty.

The facade of the palace is very beautiful, as it is up twined with wild grapes. Above the main entrance there is the coat of arms of Princes Gagarin with an inscription in Latin: “The power is in ancient times”
