Lviv city has been famous not only for its historical richness and exquisite architecture, but it deserved to be called the coffee capital of Ukraine.
The first coffee houses in Lviv date back to the late 17th century, and today even museum-restaurant “Lviv Coffee Mine” operates in the city. You can enjoy a coffee drink for any taste on the large area of the ground floor and basement.
In the basement café owners have created a unique attraction – the only in Ukraine coffee mine, visiting which you get to know the unusual way of coffee extraction. Unlike Brazil, where coffee beans grow on trees, coffee in Lviv is located deep in the ground.
For the production of coffee mining elevators were built, railroad tracks were laid through which special trucks transport coffee to the restaurant.
