Ukraine began charring in the OSCE

 Ukraine began charring in the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. In general, charring period lasts for one year and is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the concerned country.

Duties include coordination of the OSCE institutions, representation of the organization, conflicts and crisis prevention in the region.

Ireland will help Ukraine in the OSCE heading. It was the heading country in 2012. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine named the main priorities of 2013. Rights and freedom protecting are among them.

Ukraine was elected to chair the OSCE in 2010. It was a further step in relations between Ukraine and the EU countries.
